David Levray

David Levray – bassist, instructor, clinician, arranger, composer – studied at the Berklee affiliated American School of Modern Music with Steven Carbonara and Eddy Goldstein, and by the age of 18 was a session musician at Piccolo Studio in Paris, France, playing on a plethora of sessions, including Guesh Patti’s smash hit “Etienne,” before moving to the US. In addition to co-writing the Grammy-nominated song “Out Of The Cold” with Kirk Wahlum for the Bob James/K. Whalum album Joined at the Hip and touring around the globe with Les McCann’s Magic Band for 10 years, he has also performed, recorded or toured with Ronnie Laws, Liz McComb, Anthony Hamilton, Captain Kirk Whalum , Nancy Sinatra, Claude Nougaro, Sergio Mendes, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Eddy Louiss, Stephen Ferrone (aka Obelix) Clémentine Mitz Ben Sidran ,Luther Allison, Nicole Croisille , Phil Upchurch, Kanda Bongo Man, Pierre Akendengue, Guy Konquet, Patrice Rushen , Salif Keita, Paco Sery, Brice Wassy Derek Bordeaux , Don Randi and Quest, Oleta Adams, Michel Fugain, Rob Mullins Piano Jonathan Butler, Ron Brown, Greg Vail and many others…
