The Gibbes Museum* and Charleston Jazz are teaming up to bring you original compositions inspired by works on view. Enjoy performances by some of Charleston’s most talented musicians.

Jazz guitarist, composer, and educator Jamie Slater has been a fixture in the Charleston jazz scene for over 20 years. He holds a degree in Music Theory and Composition, with a concentration in Jazz Guitar Performance from the College of Charleston.  Jamie studied classical guitar under Grammy Award nominee Marc Regnier and Jazz guitar under educator and author Jim Bastien. During the COVID-19 lockdown, Jamie wrote, recorded and self-produced his latest album ‘Augmented Reality’ that can be downloaded on the Bandcamp streaming service.
