With soulful big band arrangements of songs both sacred and secular, Big Band Holidays is an uplifting tradition enjoyed by audiences of all ages and backgrounds. Enjoy a celebrated tradition filled with festive big band arrangements of holiday classics like “All I Want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth,” “What Child is This,” and “Jingle Bells.” This is an uplifting seasonal event perfect for the whole family.
Alita Moses is a virtuosic vocalist, songwriter, and entertainer. She has performed with a long list of household names in both the jazz and pop worlds, including legends like Al Jarreau, Shawn Mendes, Jacob Collier, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Chris Botti and Cynthia Erivo. Alita also frequently collaborates with her contemporaries, fronting a variety of ensembles in NYC ranging from brass bands to jazz trios to original soul projects like her own self-titled band. After becoming the youngest ever winner of the Shure Montreux Jazz Vocal Competition in 2014, she gained world-wide recognition and began traveling all over the globe as a band leader and teaching artist. On the festival circuit, Alita has been seen lighting up the stage at the Montreux Jazz Festival, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, the BUAP Festival, Jazz De Verano, and many more. Her work with large ensembles started at the young age of 14 with the Hartford Symphony Orchestra and has since flourished through a recurring feature with the Philly POPS Big Band & Orchestra and various big bands in New York. Whether on stage or in the studio, Alita brings a natural warmth to each performance and astounds audiences with grace, soul, and a musical maturity beyond her years.
