A key part of the steakhouse dining experience is the classic music you get to hear piped into the dining room. Imagine you’re seated in a comfy leather booth, surrounded by mounds of roasted garlic mashed potatoes; a bubbling pot of lobster mac and cheese; and slabs of seared T-bones, New York strips, and rib-eyes.
Feel free to tap your foot as you dig into a petite filet or butter your baked potato as Mark Rapp plays from the great pantheon of the jazz repertoire.
Mark Rapp plays melodic jazz instrumentals and swing music – fun music from the 1920’s, traditional jazz, up to modern, and groove jazz.
The Mark Rapp group may play Tom Jobim’s classic bossa nova “Girl from Ipanema”, then slide into Duke Ellington’s “It Don’t Mean a Thing if it Ain’t Got that Swing” and off to “On the Sunnyside of the Street” followed by a beautiful ballad called “My Ideal” closing with a New Orleans classic like “Bourbon Street St. Parade”.
