A collaboration between South Carolina Public Radio and The ColaJazz Foundation, ColaJazz Presents… is a special limited series featuring performances from a diverse group of South Carolina’s top musicians, plus interviews with the artists offering intimate perspectives into their lives, communities, and passion for music.

Join host Mark Rapp, executive director of The ColaJazz Foundation, Sunday nights, October 2-December 25, for a celebration of jazz from across the Palmetto State. And stay tuned to this page for videos of performances from the artists featured on the show.

South Carolina Public Radio has ten radio transmitters across the state that broadcast one of two formats, News & Talk and News & Music. ​South Carolina Public Radio also offers live internet streams of each format.

Other options are available using, the SCETV App,  TuneIn, the SCETV App, and Apple Music Radio. Select podcasts of local programs are available from the website and from iTunes. SC Public Radio also provides content to NPR One, a mobile streaming app.

The News & Talk format can be heard on six stations, and presents national programs such as All Things Considered, Morning Edition, Weekend Edition, Fresh Air, and The Takeaway. Regional programs include Walter Edgar’s Journal, and The South Carolina Business Review. SC Public Radio’s News stations include: 

  • Aiken/Augusta: 89.1 FM (WLJK)
  • Beaufort/Hilton Head: 89.9 (WJWJ)
  • Conway/Myrtle Beach: 90.1 FM (WHMC)
  • Rock Hill/Charlotte: 88.9 FM (WNSC)
  • Sumter/Columbia: 88.1 (WRJA)
  • Charleston: 89.3 WSCI HD2 FM

The News & Music Format is heard on four stations and focuses on music programs, such as Performance Today, Echoes and Music through the Night. Regional music programs include Carolina Live, On the Keys, and Sonatas and Soundscapes. SC Public Radio’s Classical stations include:

  • Charleston: 89.3 FM (WSCI)
  • Charleston: 89.3 WSCI HD1 FM
  • Columbia: 91.3 FM (WLTR)
  • Greenville/Spartanburg: 90.1 FM (WEPR)

South Carolina Public Radio was started in 1972 as the “South Carolina Educational Radio Network,” a part of South Carolina ETV, the state’s educational television agency. At its inception, SC Public Radio focused on producing national music series such as American Popular Song with Alec Wilder. It went on to produce Marian McPartland’s Piano Jazz, NPR’s longest-running jazz music program, for which SC Radio received a Peabody Award.
