Jazz at Lincoln Center Presents…
Handed picked by Wynton Marsalis and Jazz at Lincoln Center leaders, this performance will feature up-and-coming musicians who have been identified as rising stars. Marsalis explains, “They are virtuoso performers and dedicated teachers who understand that listeners must be invited into the feeling and tradition of this music.”
Under the direction of Riley Mulherkar; “Songs We Love” is a journey from the Blues and Jazz of the 1920s to the early 1950s iconic standards. Hear songs that we all love that were made famous by Ma Rainey, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland, and more.
