Swingin’ In Conversation: A Talk With The Count Basie Orchestra

December 20, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Jazz is Love and the Institute of Jazz Studies at Rutgers University-Newark present the fifth in our series of virtual conversations and listening sessions.

Please join us for a very special Christmas Swingin’ In Conversation! Our hosts, Wayne Winborne and Scotty Barnhart, will have the pleasure to talk with The Count Basie Orchestra!

The amazing vocalist Carmen Bradford and the manager of The Count Basie Orchestra Dee Askew will also be joining us. And, rumor has it that there will be a few surprise special guests!

It is sure to be a fun-filled evening of conversation and music from The Count Basie Orchestra’s first ever holiday recording, A Very Swingin’ Basie Christmas.

We will also give away signed copies of A Very Swingin Basie Christmas and the Grammy nominated All About That Basie.
