Loft Session: Nolan TecklenbUrg Trio
Nolan Tecklenburg is a nationally touring pianist from Charleston, South Carolina, whose sound is deeply influenced by the musical culture of New Orleans. After being accepted into Loyola University New Orleans, he immersed himself in the city’s vibrant jazz scene, studying and performing alongside local legends while refining his craft.
During his time in the Big Easy, Tecklenburg founded the septet NuSpeak, performing at iconic venues including Tipitina’s, while also leading his own trio throughout the city. His work in New Orleans culminated in a performance at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.
Following graduation, Tecklenburg returned to Charleston, where he has become one of the area’s most in-demand pianists. He currently tours nationally as a member of the band Big Something.
