The ColaJazz Foundation is dedicated to growing, supporting and promoting jazz in the Midlands through events, education, recordings, resources and advocacy in order to create a thriving culturally rich community.

Gifts power three pillars:

  1. Artists – fair pay, gigs, commissions;

  2. Education – Jazz for Kids, school residencies, outreach, lessons, summer camp, workshops, combos, Jazz Band Director Academy and more.

  3. Community – free/low-cost concerts, pop-ups, and citywide cultural activations.

Who runs the organization?

ColaJazz is led by Executive Director Mark Rapp (trumpeter, bandleader, educator) with guidance from an engaged Board of Directors and an extended team of teaching artists and volunteers.

How can I get involved?

How do I make a donation?

Give online (one-time or monthly), by check, through a Donor-Advised Fund, stock, employer match, or in-kind. We’ll provide a receipt for your records.

We review artists and educators on a rolling basis for concerts, pop-ups, and outreach.
