Featured Artist: Keith Davis
With a distinguished career spanning 40 years, Keith Davis is a premier jazz pianist, composer, and educator. A 2017 Coastal Jazz Hall of Fame inductee, Keith has toured with the legendary Glenn Miller and Artie Shaw orchestras and shared the stage with icons like David “Fathead” Newman and Donald Byrd. Currently based in Greenville, SC, he serves on the faculty at Furman University and leads the Keith Davis Trio. His extensive discography of original work, including the acclaimed 2019 album But Were We, reflects a lifetime of mastery honed at Berklee College of Music and under the mentorship of jazz greats like Jerry Bergonzi and Cecil Taylor.
Experience: 40-year career as a professional musician and educator.
Accolades: 2017 Coastal Jazz Hall of Fame Inductee.
Notable Collaborations: Glenn Miller Orchestra, Artie Shaw Orchestra, Matt “Guitar” Murphy, and Wallace Roney.
Education: Berklee College of Music; studied under Jerry Bergonzi and Dave Holland.
Current Roles: Adjunct Instructor of Jazz Piano at Furman University; leader of the Keith Davis Trio.
