In honor of the holiday spirit, this week we feature a Christmas jazz album by pianist Duke Pearson, "Merry Ole' Soul"!

Recorded in 1969 on the Blue Note label, this record features Duke Pearson showcasing some of his most unique arrangements yet with familiar holiday tunes as his vessel. From the opening Poinciana-eqsue "Sleigh Ride" to a more traditional treatment of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas", this album is a holiday jazz must have!
