2021 Governor’s Award

The ColaJazz Foundation is the recipient of the 2021 Governor’s Award alongside some wonderful artists including Charlton Singleton, Tayloe Harding, Jennifer C Evins, Marjory Wentworth and in business, Colonial Life.

The Governor’s Awards for the Arts is the highest honor the state gives in the arts to recognize outstanding achievement and contributions to the arts in South Carolina.

The ColaJazz Foundation faces adversity with style and optimism consistently producing and creating engagement in the arts for musicians and our communities. Always in the spirit of swing, ColaJazz is dedicated to grow, support and promote jazz in the Midlands through events, education, recordings, resources and advocacy in order to create a thriving culturally rich community.

  1. Bravo to ALL recipients! This year tested many of us in every profession, but the Arts have prevailed in producing JOY to the many who desire, seek and needed creativity. Listening, creating, sharing, and expressing are the human aspects that keep society moving forward, even through the most trying times that may be handed to us.
    It’s a pleasure to know, work with, enjoy, and support these great community leaders in the Art world. Congratulations!!!
