Meggan Farish is a trained jazz vocalist as well as a PhD student at Duke University. In addition to being the lead singer of the Keenan McKenzie Band, a well-known jazz quintet in the Triangle area, Meggan is also the lead singer of her own jazz group based in Columbia, SC. Over the past five years, she has performed and recorded with many fellow musicians throughout the Carolinas. She is recognized for her distinctive alto sound, described as a mix between Amy Winehouse and Diana Krall. Her musical influences include Rosemary Clooney, Sarah Vaughn, Jane Monheit, Eva Cassidy, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, and Rachel Price.
