Membership Launch Party

On Sunday, August 29th, we hosted our first ever Membership Drive launching our brand new ColaJazz Membership initiative. Over 150 people turned up to support jazz and celebrate our Columbia Jazz scene at the 701 Whaley Market!

“Jazz is all about participating. We are excited to offer this new program that will extend our outreach, help grow our jazz community and support a solid future for jazz in the Midlands,” says ColaJazz Founder and Executive Director, Mark Rapp.

This party celebrated our past, current and future jazz supporters and jazz community. They enjoyed complimentary beer, wine and Peruvian inspired tapas by Chef Javier Uriarte (Ratio), a special cocktail by mixologist Grant McGloskey and world-class latin jazz by the Gino Castillo Trio, all while learning about how they could become a ColaJazz charter member

“We aim to be the driving beat in jazz education, performance and outreach providing opportunity for our area’s musicians, and bringing together diverse audiences. We want to serve the Midlands community by creating a culturally robust environment that makes our capital city a premiere jazz destination in the southeast.” says ColaJazz Board Chairwoman, Shelly Magee. “This new membership program is the next step in helping us reach that vision.”
