This week we feature pianist Phineas Newborn's debut album "Here Is Phineas"!
Recorded in 1956 on the Atlantic label, this record debuts Newborn as a true great in the jazz piano canon. Playing a set of tunes such as chestnut "All The Things You Are" to Charlie Parker's "Barbados", Phineas is in top form and swinging from beginning to end. This is a must listen for all jazz fans, especially piano fanatics.
