jazz album of the week

This week we feature a groovy quintet album lead by pianist Red Garland, "Red's Good Groove"!

Recorded in 1962 on the Jazzland Label, this all star recording features the front line of trumpeter Blue Mitchell and baritone man Pepper Adams in a very swinging set of tunes. Complete with a blues to start things off as well as familiar standards, this Red Garland recording is one not to miss in your listening journey. Trust me on this.

Personnel:

Blue Mitchell- trumpet

Pepper Adams- baritone saxophone

Red Garland- piano

Sam Jones- bass

Philly Joe Jones- drums
